YOUR PRACTICE HAS A PLACE HERE
room to teach, room to grow.
Other Pursuits gives independent instructors a beautiful space to teach, connect with students, and grow their businesses.
Movement and wellness fill most of the calendar: yoga, pilates, breathwork, meditation, qigong, tai chi. But the room is just as good for anything that gathers people well. Improv, storytelling, writing, drawing, a workshop on the thing you happen to know better than anyone else.
Bring your approach, your ideas, and the classes you love to lead. With a shared studio calendar and a mix of instructors and practices, we're creating a place where students can discover your work and you can build something of your own.
IT’S YOUR CLASS.
HOW IT WORKS
YOU RENT THE SPACE BY THE HOUR.
You set your price, take your own bookings, and keep everything you collect. Free, $18, $40 with materials: your call. Your students are yours too, your list and your relationship, portable if you ever move on.
From $22 an hour, scaling with how many people come. A small first class does not cost you much while you build.
Your class sits on a shared calendar next to the other instructors, in front of students who came looking for something new.
WE HELP BRING PEOPLE TO THE DOOR.
THE NUMBERS
what the room costs
Rent is for the room, not a share of what you charge. Thirty dollars an hour off-peak, forty at peak, for however many people walk through the door. You book the hours you need and pay when you book.
Here’s an $18 class in a 90 minute booking, at the peak rate. This is just an example, you can charge what you want for your class
how to price your class
WHAT A CLASS EARNS YOu
Keep what you collect. You set your own price and take your own bookings. The room is the only thing you pay for, and it costs the same whether four people come or sixteen.
Price your class wherever it needs to be. Materials cost what they cost, and a free community session is welcome here. That said, we suggest $18 to $20 for a regular drop-in class. The pilates and yoga studios within a mile charge $29 to $39, and community classes around here are $10 or free, so there is nothing in between.
